Low Phosphorus Electroless Nickel
- Hard as plated EN. Up to 63 Rockwell C scale hardness without bake
- Superior corrosion resistance in alkaline or caustic environments
- Good wear resistance
- Bright deposit
- Compressively stressed
Mid Phosphorus Electroless Nickel
- Brightest of all EN deposits
- ELV, RoHS compliant
- Moderate wear resistance
- Moderate corrosion protection. 0.001" thickness gives 96 hours in Neutral Salt Spray
- 48-52 HRc hardness as plated. Up to 68 HRc after bake to harden
High Phosphorus Electroless Nickel
- Excellent corrosion protection. Up to 1000 hours Salt Spray for 0.001" thick coating
- Best deposit for heavy build (>0.001")
- Can be diamond turned to mirror finish. Best coating for Optics
- Compressively stressed
- Semi-bright finish
- Can be baked to high hardness (64-69 HRc)
Electroless Nickel/PTFE Composite
- Great for sliding lubricity
- Low Coefficient of Friction. Approximately 0.8-1.0
- Pewter gray appearance
- 15-25% PTFE by weight in deposit
- Excellent dry film lubrication
- Moderate Corrosion resistance
Electroless Nickel/Boron Nitride Composite
- Best coating for sliding lubricity
- Very low Coefficient of Friction. Approximately 0.8. Lower than EN/PTFE
- Moderate wear resistance. Less than Chrome, Better than regular EN, Better than PTFE EN
- Fair Corrosion Resistance. Should use underlayer of High Phos EN
- Best mold release coating for plastics, rubbers
Electroless Nickel/Diamond Composite
- Great wear resistance. Better than hard chrome
- Good thermal conductivity
- Numerous choices in Diamond particle size. From Nano Diamond to several thousandths
